Who Is Behind FlutterScape
Hi FlutterScapers,
My name is Takehiro, a Japanese dude from FlutterScape. We launched our beta version of FlutterScape at the end of this August and thanks to all your continuous support, we have been doing great! Arigato gozaimasu (thank you!) Today I want to introduce the people behind FlutterScape (including our mascot), also I will mention some of our generous supporters and where we wanna go because we have a promise to be as transparent with every FlutterScapers as possible. FlutterScape Team FlutterScape is currently a team of 3 Internet enthusiasts, passionate about improving the customer experience of both sellers and buyers day and night, broadcasting interesting discoveries from Japan, and more importantly bridging gaps between boundaries so as to deliver the happiness to the world! Takehiro Kakiyama (Japan)Takehiro, CEO of FlutterScape, started to plan about FlutterScape in January 2009 with Ari (CTO), with backing by netprice.com, Ltd., one of the largest e-commerce companies here in Japan. He loves everything about Internet, especially about its powerful factor to instantly connect everyone from all over the world! He is currently a senior student at Sophia University, majoring International Business and Economics. He cannot wait to graduate lol

He did not only built our platform from scratch but also has managed to planned marketing strategies, utilizing his previous working experiences in consumer goods industry. His nickname is apparently "chibi", which means small in Japanese but is truly a "small giant" for the team. Kakoii!!

Ari (left) with Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter at Tweetup in Tokyo
http://www.twitter.com/ariawanHomer Yulo (Philippines)Homer, Creative Director of FlutterScape, holds the title "web jedi". He started his web career at smart.fm (former iknow.co.jp) and joined FlutterScape as a front-end captain since July 2009. He is, however, as bad at following maps as Takehiro, so they usually take some time to meet at a convenient place before heading up to their destination, lol. Also a wine and street fashion maven.

http://www.twitter.com/durenHapa (the 7th dimension)Hapa is the original mascot of FlutterScape, designed by a talented designer who used to work at Square Enix, among his well-known work is Final Fantasy series (particularly FF VII and the latest FF XIII). We are not so sure about whether Hapa is a human or robot or whether it is male or female but have been lovin' it all the way.

e-commerce website: http://www.netprice.co.jp netprice.com, one of the largest investors of FlutterScape, is led by worldwide well-known young entrepreneur Teruhide Sato, who has succeeded to list the company on Tokyo Mothers Stock Exchange in 3 years with its unique Gathering business model where the more people buy the cheaper the products become. We are totally representing its slogan "nothing can be more entertaining than shopping." Paypal Japan
website: http://www.paypal.jp/FlutterScape has not come this far without the support of Paypal Japan. We have invented our safe payment system by means of Paypal's API functions because safe and reliable payment system was a total necessity for C2C transaction. Thanks to Paypal, we could now prevent sellers and buyers from not getting paid or not having the packages shipped, respectively despite after having completed the transaction. Shibuya246
website: http://shibuya246.com/We have nothing but to feel deep gratitude for Shibuya246 for having been super supportive up until this moment. Shibuya246 has mentored us and supported our marketing and direct communication with both existing and new customers, by means of not only his kawaii goods but also his powerful twitter expertise. Arigato gozaimasu! and korekaramo yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

Where We Wanna GoLastly, I wanna tell you where we wanna go with FlutterScape. Of course we do not want to end up as being a mere international shopping website, because we are truly keen about taking shopping as one of the entertainments. Just like shopping in foreign countries where first time visit is so much fun, that is how we should be, not just selling stuffs but also sharing interesting local experiences. Therefore, this leads FlutterScape to our fundamental concept of "Social" and "Commerce" Luckily, we are surrounded by many gadgets and technologies today. We want to mash up every useful resources available and want FlutterScape to be the most flexible and comfortable platform for all of us. This, of course, would include the reduction of international shipping cost as soon as we reach the scale of economies. We are hoping to offer our customers free international shipping for every items one day by subsidies from external revenue stream. There are, in fact, so many other things that I wanna tell you but I wanna surprise you with new features and releases from time to time from now on, so I better zipped out my mouth here. FlutterScape will be a platform with local operation in many other countries in the next five years where we can find and safely trade interesting and exotic items from all over the planet. We are striving to be the world's best cross-border social commerce platform. This finally means, we need to improve the service day and night and make as many people happy as possible. Thank you all for your continuous support!! Kanpai from Tokyo!!
Takehiro Kakiyama
CEO of FlutterScape.com
