In the first of a new regular column we will be providing tips and best practices for selling on FlutterScape. This time we bring you a piece of advice for selling clothing.
When posting clothing for sale on FlutterScape it is better to show the clothing on a person than on a mannequin. Likewise, it is better to show clothes on a mannequin than laid out flat or while on a coat hanger. We call this the hierarchy of good fashion photography.
There are several key advantages to showing clothes on a person over a plastic bust.
Take the below images for the same product.
The images with the model are more relatable. The dress’s casual nature is enhanced by the model’s poses.
The dress on the plastic bust is lifeless. It also fails to show how low the one piece hangs.
This FlutterScape seller did an awesome job by including both image types in the product listing. Multiple pictures is always a good practice, but that’s advice for another day…
